This will be <strong>THE SMITH STREET BAND&#8217;s</strong> last run of Australian shows before heading off on their first UK/ Europe adventure, followed by a eagerly awaited return to the USA.</p>

<p><i>Poison City</i>&#8216;s annual <b><i>Weekender</i></b> fest is back again for 2013! Part music festival, part punk-rock family reunion, the 3 day event converges on Melbourne every September to celebrate friendship, great bands and the thriving music community that <i>Poison City</i> has become. This year <b><i>The Weekender</i></b> takes over the <b><i>John Curtin Hotel</i></b> on Friday <b><i>September 6th</i></b>, <b><i>Corner Hotel</i></b> on Saturday <b><i>September 7th</i></b> and <b><i>The Reverence Hotel</i></b> on Sunday <b><i>September 8th</i></b>.</p>
<p>Headlining the festivities in 2013 is beloved Melbourne foursome <b><i>The Smith Street Band</i></b>. Stalwarts of <b><i>The Weekender</i></b> fest, this year&#8217;s headline performance will be their last in Australia for while as they gear up for some serious overseas touring immediately after. <b><i>The Smith Street Band</i></b> will be joined by very special international guests, <b><i>Joyce Manor</i></b> (USA), <b><i>Cheap Girls</i></b> (USA) and <b><i>Cory Branan</i></b> (USA), all making their first, eagerly awaited visit down under.</p>
<p>The line-up also features two legends of Australia&#8217;s punk/ indie rock scene, <b><i>Blueline Medic</i></b> (playing their only show for 2013) and <b><i>The Nation Blue</i></b> (Launching the LP re-issue of &#8216;A Blueprint For Modern Noise&#8217;), along with <b><i>Luca Brasi</i></b>, <b><i>Hoodlum Shouts</i></b>, <b><i>White Walls</i></b>, <b><i>Lincoln Le Fevre</i></b>, <b><i>Arrows</i></b>, <b><i>The Bennies</i></b>, <b><i>Deep Heat</i></b>, <b><i>Milhouse</i></b> (Last Show!), <b><i>Grim Fandango</i></b>, <b><i>Jen Buxton</i></b>, <b><i>Infinite Void</i></b>, <b><i>Clowns</i></b>, <b><i>Postblue</i></b>, <b><i>Apart From This</i></b> and <b><b><b><i>Pinch Hitter - with more acts still to be announced!</i></b></p>
<p>Full line-ups for each venue will be announced in coming days and tickets go on sale <b><i>Friday May 10th</i></b> from <b><i>Poison City Shop/ E-Store and</i></b> <b><i>Corner Hotel Box Office</i></b>. Once again there will be a limited Early Bird allocation of <b><i>3-Day Weekender Passes</i></b>, giving access to all shows at a discounted rate.</p>

<p>This year our official RSD release is a Split 7&#8243; between WHITE WALLS and DEEP HEAT &#8211; both bands delivering 2 brand new tracks. We have a limited edition Electric Blue w/ Silver Splatter coloured vinyl version that will only be available this Saturday from Poison City Shop and select indie stores (Tym Guitars / Resist Records / Clarity / Beatdisc / Kill The Music / Landspeed / Polyester..)</p>
<p>We also have a special edition of THE SMITH STREET BAND&#8217;s &#8216;No One Gets Lost Anymore&#8217; LP &#8211; featuring reinterpreted artwork by Aaron Coping and Annie Walter. These are limited to 25 x copies each &#8211; all hand numbered and printed on recycled card stock. $10 from each LP also goes to Edgar&#8217;s Mission Animal Sanctuary.</p>
